About Siamese Cats

Siamese cats are among the most recognizable and distinctive cat breeds, famous for their striking blue almond-shaped eyes, short coat with color points, and extremely vocal nature. They're often described as "dog-like" due to their loyalty and tendency to follow their owners around.

Originally from Thailand (formerly Siam), these cats were considered sacred and were kept exclusively by royalty. Their unique pointed coloration is temperature-sensitive - cooler areas of the body develop darker colors, while warmer areas remain lighter. Kittens are born white and develop their points as they age.

Siamese cats are extremely intelligent and social. They don't do well when left alone for long periods and thrive on interaction and mental stimulation. They're known for their loud, raspy voices and will "talk" to their owners throughout the day. They form intense bonds with their families and can be quite demanding of attention.
